IT Analyst II - Corporate Data & Analytics

As an IT Analyst II for our Corporate Data & Analytics team, you will assess data analysis and rules, write and maintain queries to extract data, produce reports, and analyze and evaluate the quality of information to support our Data Services Platform. These analyses contribute to the success of daily operations, tactical and strategic projects, customer service, and data delivery programs that have direct bearing on the profitability and competitiveness of the company. You will work on a small development team with a big mission to make healthcare work better for our customers. To realize the level of customer empowerment envisioned, the team is building state-of-the-art data services frameworks that enable real-time interoperability within Premera as well as with external healthcare partners and provider organizations. What you'll do: o Confer with business partners on complex business topics to determine report requirements and to provide appropriate solutions to insure data quality in our enterprise system o Write, design, develop, document, maintain, and review queries and data extracts reports and analyses created from ad hoc requests o Peer review the work of others in the department and work with others to improve the peer review and quality assurance processes o Work with DBA's to recommend improvements to operational databases, data quality, and productivity, develop and publish procedures and implement changes as needed o Define and document the data rules and findings which are needed to extract, cleanse, and transform data from legacy source systems o Validate integrity and usability of curated data processed through the Data Services Platform o Identify, analyze, and research data content and quality issues found in the course of data analysis and quality reviews o Follow industry standard methodologies and guidelines to manage and execute project activities o Identify improvement opportunities through analysis What you'll bring: o Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Health Care Administration, computer science or a related field or four (4) years' work experience o Three years of experience in analytics, data management, or report/query development o One year of experience in a healthcare or other regulated discipline o Strong MS SQL skills are highly desired o Knowledge of healthcare and the healthcare industry, which includes health insurance concepts/terms, relational databases, PC applications, analytical tools, data management and technical writing o Self-starter with ability to work independently and as a member of a team o Customer-focus with demonstrated experience and ability to be flexible with changing priorities, demands and requests o Strong problem solving, root cause analysis skills and the demonstrated ability to proactively prevent problems from occurring and work issues to resolution o Ability to: o Perform data exploration, profiling, identification of quality issues and data integrity, logic, patterns, business and/or system-specific data rules, and evaluation with an emphasis operational data analysis o Identify, troubleshoot, triage and document issues from multiple perspectives and generate a solution that considers impacts for medium-to-complex concepts o Influence in area of expertise and to interact successfully on multiple levels o Ability to work with cross-functional teams with diverse skillsets and appropriately engage teammates and leadership for direction o Knowledge of data requirements associated with PII (Personally Identifiable Information) o Take accountability for own work and results with the demonstrated ability to form constructive opinions and defend them What we offer: Premera is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package including: o Medical, vision and dental coverage o Life and disability insurance o Retirement programs (401K employer match and pension plan) o Wellness incentives, onsite services, a discount program and more o Tuition assistance for undergraduate and graduate degrees o Generous Paid Time Off to reenergize o Free parking #LI-MS1 #GD Job ID 11815

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
