Business Implementation Manager III

As the Market Manager for our ACA business line (65 and under), you will manage the market strategy and implementation to align the financial, membership and overall performance with Premera's business strategy. You will work with the business line Director to develop a multi-year plan for the business line and direct resources to accomplish goals and objectives that contribute to the effectiveness and profitability of the line of business. The role provides opportunity to think differently about how we provide insurance to individuals that pay for their own premium. As a business manager, you'll have broad authority to bring multi perspectives and data together to influence the business plan. This is great for the person who is ready to have more say with how we run the business. This is very market-facing position as we want to better understand those purchasing individual subsidized insurance. This role will involve local travel in the Western Washington and Alaska markets (<25%) What you'll do: o In conjunction with director, manage the development and execution of business plan for ACA business with a focus on both short and long term business objectives and accountability for contribution margin and membership targets o Work in partnership with Actuarial, Product, Marketing, Operations, Legal and Regulatory Affairs, and Health Care Services to develop and implement products o Ensure that the infrastructure, standards, policies, and procedures support compliance, operations, and internal objectives o Measure and monitor Premera's ACA market distribution strategy and adjust as needed to maximize results o Accountable for achieving financial results of business including new business, total written premium, retention and profitability o Incorporate opportunities for improvement and alignment of products to market needs into business planning o Represent the company as a community leader to develop strategic working relationships with community partners (e.g., producers, providers) What you'll bring: o Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related field or four (4) years of work experience o Seven (7) years of business, insurance, or healthcare experience which includes: o Working knowledge of ACA or Medicaid or related programs o Five (5) years' experience developing and managing business plans or programs in a matrixed environment o Master's degree preferred o Sound understanding of ACA, and Medicaid insurance products, as well as experience with the individual market o Health insurance industry knowledge including trends, production management, underwriting, and claims o High level of initiative, relationship building, strong leadership, decision making and problem solving skills o Tremendous degree of customer focus, interpersonal relationship skills and problem solving skills o Presentation experience o Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to effectively influence, negotiate, build consensus and translate strategy to achieve business results What we offer: Premera is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package including: o Medical, vision and dental coverage o Life and disability insurance o Retirement programs (401K employer match and pension plan) o Wellness incentives, onsite services, a discount program and more o Tuition assistance for undergraduate and graduate degrees o Generous Paid Time Off to reenergize o Free parking 11699

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
