Vendor Management - Senior Consultant

As a Vendor Management Senior Consultant for our Enterprise Vendor Management Organization, you will be instrumental in driving the execution of some of the most strategic work Premera is doing today. You will provide leadership and support to management teams for vendor management and the vendor management process, including vendor selection, negotiation, implementation and performance. As a proactive leader, your work will have a significant and favorable impact as it will transform ideas, and decisions into tangible solutions that will benefit Premera and our customers. You will build a vendor management discipline, manage expectations and create vendor relationships which will benefit the enterprise. What you'll do o Implement structure, process, and governance as it relates to vendor communications, contract management, and on-going vendor relationships o Oversee core vendor management functions and processes o Develop statements of work, service level agreements, performance guarantees and risk-sharing models with vendors o Assess vendor risks and solutions and communicate them with appropriate audiences o Track and prioritize the progress of projects and provide corresponding executive level reporting o Provide guidance and best practice knowledge to reduce contract cost, pricing strategies, ensure oversight of risk, build vendor management discipline and create beneficial vendor relationships o Lead technical and business divisions through the negotiation process for strategic vendors driving needed performance, cost savings and mitigating risk o Work with senior leadership to assess level of risk for strategic vendors and identify suitable competitor replacement if applicable o Provide direction and guidance to team members on vendor research needs o Evaluate and analyze pricing and company business needs from internal sources and create supporting strategic pricing models o Educate personnel, in the creation of pricing, and the creation of guidelines of Vendor Management life cycle What you'll bring o Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field of study or four (4) years' experience o Eight years' experience in the IT sector supporting vendor relationships with external parties including contract negotiations and contract management and must include the following: o Five years' experience leading cross-functional teams o Experience leading contract negotiations $1M or greater o Project management skills and experience o Experience in health care information systems o Demonstrated ability to prepare and implement negation and vendor selection strategies, o Experience leading vendor performance and managing expectations of contracted services and optimize value o Ability to: o Support the implementations of statements of work and address issues o Develop and execute negotiation strategies for technology solutions. o Prepare and implement negation and vendor selection strategies and lead vendor performance analysis o Willingness to work effectively under stressful situations and/or time constraints o Experience working with senior level executives o Understanding of far reaching impacts or results of actions while exercising good judgment and providing sound consultation o Proven advanced negotiation and analytical problem solving skills o Critical thinking and accountability with the ability to support the delivery of solutions and drive improvements o Excellent conceptualization, analytical and logic skills Self-starter that can quickly assess situations and react or direct appropriately o Customer focus, with demonstrated experience and ability to identify and assess issues/root causes and escalate as appropriate What we offer: Premera is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package including: o Medical, vision and dental coverage o Life and disability insurance o Retirement programs (401K employer match and pension plan) o Wellness incentives, onsite services, a discount program and more o Tuition assistance for undergraduate and graduate degrees o Generous Paid Time Off to reenergize o Free parking #LI-MS1 #GD

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
